According to Lawyer Marketing, search engine optimization (SEO) marketing techniques are becoming out of date. According to the website the new approach search engines have been pursuing is called blended search (can also be called “universal search” or “enhanced search”).
The idea behind blended search is for search engines to give more useful results and pulling information from multiple online sources. You need to be more active online besides just reaching potential clients with practiced targeting, because online search engines are pulling information from more sources.
According to Lawyer Marketing, here is one of the ways blended search has changed the online search:
SERPS have become crowded.
Search engine result pages (SERP) have become crowded landing pages with lots of information for consumers. Many of the items listed on these result pages include a mix of many elements. Whenever you search for a restaurant or even the weather, you’ll receive a multitude of things in the search results including videos, images, news articles, and more information besides just links to websites. Search engines like Google will even include a “Knowledge Graph” for basic information like business hours, website, and how to contact the business.
