When COVID-19 swept across the globe, it forced many companies to re-evaluate their way of doing business. The pandemic brought a complex series of challenges with court closures, limited in-person proceedings, and a rapid shift to remote work for law firms.
Law.com interviewed over twenty law firms across the nation to assess their plan for returning to in-person office life post-COVID-19. Overwhelmingly, firms seem to be opting for office returns after Labor Day. Even though the soft re-opening of many firms will take place in September, most practices are still seeking plans that allow for greater remote work flexibility. Some companies will use programs like “welcome back Wednesdays” to help ease staff members back into in-person office life, while others are promising permanent hybrid working models.
One thing is certain; no firm has the same return-to-office working model, but they all appear to have an increased understanding of the importance of work-life balance. Advocate Capital, Inc. is looking forward to assisting firms with their litigation and practice financing needs going forward. With Courts safely re-opening and more firms to follow, we eagerly anticipate helping you advocate for your clients and community as we do the same for you.
