With all of the recalls in the news lately, there is no doubt many Americans are apprehensive about products they have purchased. Recalls.gov is a reputable, online service used to alert the public of unsafe, hazardous and defective products comprised of information from six federal agencies: CPSC, NHTSA, US Coast Guard, FDA, USDA and the US Environmental Protection Agency. This online service allows people to view recent recalls and even search for recalls that are not quite as current.
From Recalls.gov, the public can search for information under the following subjects: consumer products, motor vehicles, boats, food, medicine, cosmetics, and environmental products. In addition, consumers can play their part by reporting any problems with a product from this website.
