It’s hard to make time to market your law firm when you are busy trying your client’s cases. According to Sally J. Schmidt’s Attorneyatwork.com article, here are some ways to work long-term marketing goals into your busy schedule.
Collaborate
Try to collaborate with other law firms or referral sources you have a long-term relationship with already. Find opportunities to co-sponsor a webinar, write an article with someone, video interview, or podcast interview. Utilizing multiple mediums and businesses that work with your prospective clients can help establish your credibility.
You can also utilize your team in the firm to create content together. Consider having a partner or new attorney be part of an upcoming webinar or video interview. Find ways to use your relationships to create content to help clients, prospective clients, or other attorneys.
Managing Your Time
Schedule an hour a week to work on marketing items for your firm. Your weekly marketing hour can help you find time to create outlines for articles, brainstorm video or podcast interviews, or it can be to browse social media and share articles on your firm’s Facebook page. If you can, try to choose marketing projects you are excited about and like to do. Having marketing projects you enjoy will make your weekly hour more enjoyable.
Utilize your marketing team or your assistant to schedule interviews or webinars for you and your firm. Outsourcing scheduling to someone else will free up your time to work on your projects and cases.
