After a year of uncertainty, it was unknown if the 2021 American Association for Justice (“AAJ”) Convention would take place in person or virtually. If in-person, where? The initial plans for Chicago were no longer available due to Covid restrictions. Enter Las Vegas!
Yes, it was hot in the “city that never sleeps,” but Las Vegas never disappoints.
Hundreds of attorneys and vendors changed their plans and headed to The Cosmpolitan for the July 12th – July 14th tradeshow. Everyone was excited to attend in person.
AAJ was proactive in its preparations to keep everyone as safe as possible. There was a display of wrist bands that allowed the participants to choose their “comfort level” regarding social interaction. Green bands were for “hugs and handshakes,” yellow bands were for “elbows only,” and red bands meant “no contact.”
Advocate Capital, Inc., Senior Vice President Donna Jones, and Executive Client Managers Rebecca Stottlemyer and Susan Greene were happy to represent ACI, all wearing green wrist bands. We were very excited to visit with our clients in person and share the benefits ACI can offer, including our new sister company, AdvoCap Insurance Agency, Inc.
The CLE classes were in person, with the option to attend virtually, including some presenters (through pre-recorded videos). AAJ’s annual opening night reception and other planned events were a huge success. Everyone was happy to be together again after several months of virtual events.
We still have unknowns, but the 2021 American Association for Justice (“AAJ”) Convention was a success. Advocate Capital, Inc. is proud to support this great organization and all of its members. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
